Ten Years of vonRock: Our Anniversary Party at Brenners Park-Hotel in Baden-Baden

Ten years of special encounters, extraordinary events and unforgettable moments: in November 2025 we celebrated the 10th anniversary of vonRock Events the way we like best. With people we love, with colleagues who have been by our side for years, and with event decor that shows what our warehouse has to offer.

The venue was Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden. The concept: Red, Black & Disco. Black tables, transparent chairs, a sea of red flowers, candlelight, disco balls in every size, a champagne wall with a bell, a casino and a bar that tells our story. In this post we take you through the evening and share the speech that was given for us, messages from our audio guestbook, the reels of the night and every rental item you can book from us for your own event.

Our story

How it all began: a beach in Malta and a few folding chairs

vonRock was never planned on a drawing board. It all started with weddings: Dominic was working as a wedding photographer, Anna-Maria as a wedding planner with Rockweddings. In Malta, where we accompanied couples together, Anna-Maria said to Dominic on the beach one day: “We need our own chairs.” For her weddings she kept ordering from external rental companies, and that was going to change. Shortly afterwards the first folding chairs were standing in the warehouse.

The early years were quite something: a trade fair stand with red tulle and plastic rose petals, the legendary vonRock bar made from brightly painted pallets, and the very first photo booth built into a cupboard, yellow upholstery included. Today we laugh about it, and we are proud of it.

Then came Covid. A standstill for many, a starting signal for us: out of the comfort zone, into the risk. We built our NRW location, connected with colleagues and invested boldly in new items. 2020, 2021 and 2022 were the years vonRock really grew. Today we furnish weddings and events across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, from Berlin and Munich to Vienna, and our warehouse is growing to more than 3,000 m² with high-bay racks up to eight metres.

BNN reports on our anniversary

To mark our 10th anniversary, the regional newspaper Badische Neueste Nachrichten (BNN) met Anna-Maria and Dominic Rock for a look behind the scenes of vonRock Events: how a first idea became a company that today creates exclusive weddings and events.

Among other things, BNN writes about our work at the wedding of Leyla and Mike Heiter on the Amalfi Coast and about celebrities and national football players who rely on our experience. Events like these require careful planning, precise execution and absolute discretion. Regardless of size or fame, one thing always matters most to us: our clients’ wishes come first.

Dinner

The table: Red, Black & Disco

For the flying dinner we set long banquet tables with floor-length matt black tablecloths, plus 40 transparent chairs that keep the room light and let the red flowers take centre stage. On the tables: cylinder vases in five heights with red anthuriums, small disco balls of 15 and 20 cm, taper candles in black holders, glass charger plates with a fluted silver rim and linen napkins in Viva Magenta.

Stage

Stage, candlelight & a sea of red flowers

The heart of the room was our high-gloss stage Ø 300 cm in black. On and around it: black columns in different heights, glass hurricane candle holders with extra-long glass tops and the 10-arm acrylic centrepiece candelabra. Large disco balls of 60, 80 and 100 cm lay casually on the floor and scattered the candlelight across the room.

The floral installation in red, bordeaux and orange was created by Josa Floral Storytelling. Later this stage was the spot for the speech, singing, dancing and photos.

Champagne wall

Ring for Anna-Maria’s Favourite Drink

One of our guests’ favourite moments: our Ring the Bell escort wall / champagne wall in black. Ring the bell once, and a hand in a white glove passes a glass of champagne through the window. For the anniversary we set up two walls and lettered them “Ring for Anna-Maria’s Favourite Drink”.

The wall works just as well as an escort wall with a seating chart, as a welcome drink station at a wedding or as an eye-catcher at a corporate event. Mirror and two bells are included.

Bar, desserts & casino

A bar that tells our journey

We combined four black 1/4 curved mobile bar counters into one round bar. On the front: our timeline from 2015 to today, titled “10 Jahre vonRock – Unsere Reise” (our journey). Espresso martinis and champagne were served, among others in the gold-rimmed martini glass from our Classy series.

At the black market stall, “The Sweet Jackpot” offered a macaron tower and tartlets. And because Red, Black & Disco calls for a touch of Las Vegas, Empire Event Casino with Jürgen Keller set up roulette and blackjack tables. Guests played for fun and for prizes announced at the end of the night.

Lounge & reception

Louis lounge, high tables & bar stools

In the foyer we set up a lounge from our Louis Collection: two “Louis” sofas, four “Louis” armchairs and washed-look wooden side tables. That is also where our anniversary newspaper was waiting.

For the reception there were high tables with red covers, gold Lucy Wire bar tables and black wooden Skandi bar stools. And anyone who wanted could film themselves in slow motion in our 360° photo booth.

Menu cards, newspaper & welcome sign

The stationery was designed by Marga & Bold: menu cards shaped like disco balls, “Cheers!” signs at the champagne coolers, the running order as an oversized playing card and our very own anniversary newspaper “10 Jahre vonRock”. At the entrance our welcome sign on its black stand greeted the guests, next to a disco ball and candles in cylinder vases.

The running order of the evening: arrival and get-together, the official opening with the story of vonRock Events, casual snacks, the speech for Anna & Domi, a three-course flying dinner, the opening of the casino with music and, at the end, the announcement of the winners.

The speech

“Ten years of courage, love and growth”: the speech for us

A moment that touched us deeply: Karim Yahiaoui and Sarah Kiehl of Kiehl Wedding gave a speech for us. They talked to both of us, collected stories and turned them into a text that made the room laugh and cry. A few excerpts, translated from German:

“Ten years of Von Rock, ten years of heart and soul, courage, chaos, structure, and decor decisions that were sometimes more, sometimes less beautiful.”Karim Yahiaoui & Sarah Kiehl

About Anna-Maria they told us that as a child she played with mini coffee cups and little plates, and that at her home there really was an official rota for setting the table. Structured to the core, hotel management school in Heidelberg, and always certain she would build something of her own. Dominic, on the other hand, wanted to be a pilot. Everything else was flexible, spontaneous and completely unplanned. Exactly the spirit with which he later painted pallets, “raided half an Ikea” and built a photo booth out of a cupboard.

It was about the two metres between our desks where ideas are born all the time, about Anna the perfectionist and Domi the creative director who sometimes even needs the chaos. About the red tulle at our first trade fair stand, the pallet bar that ended up at the bulky waste collection, and about Covid, which for us was not a standstill but a starting signal. And about what comes next: a warehouse of more than 3,000 m², a large logistics team, events in Berlin, Munich and Vienna. “More courage, more furniture, more design, more rock.”

Live music, DJ & saxophone

Amy Sue & Friends brought the day-party vibe with vocals, guitar and percussion right in front of the window with the red curtains. Later in the evening Bernarts Music took over with a DJ set and live saxophone, and the dance floor stayed full until the very end.

Among all the congratulations there is one card we treasure in particular. It comes from the team at Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg near Cologne, where we have been furnishing weddings and events for some time. Johannes, Miriam and Eva wrote to us by hand (translated from German):
